Gasket Material Polyurethane – Equipe II
This Gasket fits Mistral Equipe II, Superlight II and Bic Hybrid boards. It also measures: 6.985cm x 89.535cm.
Some models require triming a half inch off the end. The Bic Hybrid (1/4 inch needs to be trimmed off end of gasket)
This Polyurethane material is very flexible so not to interfere with the daggerboard movement.
Installation requires that the mold release compound be cleaned off the gasket in the area to be glued. The manufacture recommends using Ajax or Comet to scrub the gasket. I also sand the area of the gasket to be glued with 60 – 100 grit.
2-part epoxy works as a glue. After the glue is dry, use a straight edge and cut the slot from hole to hole. Holes are already in the gasket. Cutting the slot before installation makes it very difficult to align accurately.
